Teaching is one of the noblest careers in the world. It is
underrated and seldom appreciated. Being a teacher is a career
where learning never ends.
It is a career where the teachers become students all the
time because they continually study. They study and attend
teachers training on an ongoing basis in order to keep up to
date with the current information on the subject they are
teaching. Sometimes they even study subjects that they do not
even teach.
It is not only subjects that they study but also teaching
techniques. Teaching techniques are modified all the time to
suit the times we are living in. Teaching methods back in the
’70s are no longer applicable today. Back in those days, a
stick was used to punish the child if he or she was unruly.
Now, give small slap on the hands of an unruly child, and their
parents will slap you with a lawsuit for child abuse! Thus,
disciplining methods and teaching methods are continuously
improving too.
Actually, we all prefer our teachers to be this way. We
prefer teachers who are enthusiastic with their subjects and
their students. We prefer teachers who want to attend teachers
training because they know that it will not only benefit their
students but themselves as well.
